Lock screen Not Showing Playback

this has been a problem for a long time for me and on multiple versions of Android from at least 12 through the current 14 Beta 4.1
There’s simply nothing there, no playback options, no artwork etc.

Do you mean the mini player doesn’t show up at all on the lock screen? Or it showed up but doesn’t have the playback options and artwork? Can you please send us a screenshot so we understand the issue better?

I’m having this exact same issue on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. My lock screen shows absolutely nothing when I’m listening to a podcast. So, I have to unlock my phone every time I want to skip forward or backward, pause, or play.

I’m trying to upload a screenshot of my blank lock screen while a podcast is playing, but I’m getting a message saying I’m not allowed to post using my username? Not sure why that would be… But, literally there are no notifications showing on my lock screen when a podcast is playing. I can see my text notifications and others, but nothing from PocketCasts.

Also, I’ve gone through the steps making sure notifications are enabled for PocketCasts, making sure lock screen notifications are enabled for my phone, and making sure media playback is enabled for my lock screen. So, I’m really not sure why PocketCasts playback won’t show on my lock screen. There’s no mini player at all when a podcast is playing.

When you go to Settings > Apps > Pocket Casts > Notifications, can you check to see if Lock screen is enabled?
