  The player on the lock screen has been missing for years.

  Hi, @mckillio! That is definitely odd, so let’s see what might be happening. Can you let us know the following information?

  • The OS version on your device – you can usually find this from your phone’s Settings
  • Your Pocket Casts app version – you can see this from the Pocket Casts app’s Profile > Settings (gear icon) > About

  In addition, if you use any other music-playing apps, is the lock screen player missing on your device as well?

  Thanks for confirming that! Can you check the following as well:

  1. Do other apps show a player on the locked home screen of your device?
  2. If you tap to Settings> Sound & vibration> Media is Show media on lock screen enabled?
  3. If you tap to Settings> Apps> Pocket Casts are notifications permissions allowed?
