Make ‘Listen to Later’ more visible

Problem: A friend or social media post recommends an episode of a podcast. You’re not ready to listen to it now, and would like to save it to ‘Listen to later’.
Currently, your only option is to Star or Download it. Both of these will record the podcast, but hide it under Profile > Star / Download away from your typical listening area (Podcasts / Filters / Up Next).
I request a way to more visibly surface podcast episodes that we want to listen to but do not want to subscribe to the podcast itself.
This could be achieved by a) have filters include all episodes (not just those subscribed podcasts; b) introducing a proper playlist/folders feature that permits custom playlists and smart playlists (which would likely replace filters).

Thank you for your feedback on this! I’ve forwarded it along to our developers as a feature request. I can’t offer an estimated timeframe or confirm that it will be implemented, but hopefully our developers will consider it soon.
I will note, if you’re interested in using a third-party service for a feature like this, you may want to take a look at Huffduffer. This service let’s you add podcast episodes and other audio files from around the web to a podcast feed that you control. You can then subscribe to that feed in Pocket Casts. Each time you add an audio file/episode to Huffduffer, it appears in Pocket Casts. :)

I think an easy solution to this would be to add a subscribed / unsubscribed filter option. That way you could star an episode and have it show up in a filter you create, even if you aren’t subscribed to the feed.
