Missing podcasts on CarPlay

I regularly use PocketCasts in my car with Apple CarPlay. I noticed that I can only see about the first dozen subscribed podcasts rather than the 20 or so that I subscribe to on my app. Every once in a while it will display all my subscribed podcasts but usually I can only see the first few. I’m up to date on the app and this has gone on for at least a year. Is this a known issue or just me?

Hi @t86n5xcf95! We haven’t had other reports of this, so let’s see what might be going on in your case.
Can you let us know the iOS version on your device? In addition, can you let us know more about this?
Every once in a while it will display all my subscribed podcasts but usually I can only see the first few.
Does this mean that you see the podcasts in the Podcasts tab, but when you click on most of them, nothing happens?

I have also been having this issue. It seems to be something with CarPlay, as my wife’s been having the same issue with the stock podcast app. She’s on iOS 16 and I’m on the beta for 17.

You may be on to something here, @6jfgdm69jh! Looking into this further, I see that it may depend on the particular in-car entertainment system you have. CarPlay’s App Programming Guide specifically mentions the following:
Some cars dynamically limit lists to 12 items.
So, in this case, we’re limited by what the CarPlay UI makes available to us.
