Multi-Colored Icon Won’t Change on Android Wuto

Randomly the other day the PC logo changed to multi-colored. I found in the app how to change it. That change isn’t taking on my Android Auto screen. Anyone know how to update it there?

Hi, @mrsjaquelineweimann! Android Auto can only take the default app icon. So, there’s no way to change it right now. That said, the icon is going to revert to the old red icon in July.

@mrsjaquelineweimann this wasn’t random. This company decided they needed to use your car screen to push degeneracy.

This is not a solution.
You’re a podcast app, you deliver podcasts. No one asked for your sexual proclivities and there was no need to share them with me or push it to my phone. Can you not find some other way to pander that doesn’t involve jacking with your customer’s phones??

Yeah, this is just disappointing. I understand there are times for app icon changes but you get used to looking for a certain icon. If it’s permanent that’s one thing but forcing through an icon change simply for a single month and then to make a statement is simply not smart. I’ve moved over to Google Podcasts. Time will tell if I’m back July 1st.

Antennapod is a really good podcast app that has almost all of the features of Pocket Casts with none of the radical ideology or sexual perversion and mental illness.

I’m on iOS and I haven’t noticed any icon change. Is there a way I can get the rainbow icon? I’m not sure what ‘radical ideology’ is but I like rainbow colors… or is the problem that they aren’t the traditional rainbow colors? are they sandstone or chartreuse or something?
That would be pretty messed up.

@littlecubenews, can you check your app’s Profile > Settings (gear icon) > About for the version you’re using? Your app icon should’ve changed with version 7.39. You can download the latest version of the app here:

You can also choose other app icons from Profile > Settings (gear icon) > Appearance.

It’s now 2024 and the same story. I’ve just deleted my Pocket account and moved to another app. If they want to take sides they can do so without me.

@tyboz34k @pmsimmons you should have the default icon if you’re on the latest version of Pocket Casts. You can also check what icon is set via Appearance > App Icon
