My stats reset!! Is there any way to get them back?

    When I launched my app this morning my stats were all set back to Zero. Is there any way to get my stats back? To cut through the routine troubleshooting, I have already logged out and back in, I have already forced a sync, and I have already deleted the app and re-installer. And, the reset stats appear to have synced to my account because it’s showing up that way on my iPhone and my iPad. Fortunately my listening history and started episodes appear to be intact, but the actual usage stats have reset. I hope there’s a fix for this. Thanks in advance.

    Sorry to hear that the stats were reset! I have a few questions for you:

    1. To confirm, the stats you’re referring to is at Profile > Stats. Right?
    2. Since you mentioned iPhone and iPad, I assumed you use the app on multiple devices. Did you notice the issue on the iPhone and iPad?
    3. When you noticed the stats were reset, have you checked the app on another device before going through the troubleshooting steps you listed?
    4. Did you update the iOS or the app on the device before the stats were emptied?
    5. Have you recently unsubscribed podcasts you’ve been listening to lately?

    Correct. The total listening time, skipping, variable speed, trim silence and auto skipping stats.

    I first noticed it on my iPhone, as that is the device I use most of the time for listening to podcasts.

    Yes, when I noticed the stats had been reset on my iPhone, I checked the app on my iPad. For a brief second my iPad showed the correct stats. But, once it had time to sync, it pulled in the reset stats from my iPhone. Now both my iPhone and my iPad show the new stats that have developed over the last week, rather than the complete stats from when I started using the app.

    1. Did you update the iOS or the app on the device before the stats were emptied?

    I had not recently updated the iOS. I installed iOS 16.5 (the latest version) when it came out on May 18, so this issue is not related to an iOS update. I cannot recall if the app was updated right before this happened. You have released several updates recently. This happened on June 10, so if you released a PocketCast update on that date, then there is a good chance that I updated the app that day.

    1. Have you recently unsubscribed podcasts you’ve been listening to lately?

    I unsubscribed from a few podcasts yesterday, but I cannot remember if I unsubscribed from any podcasts on the day that the stats were reset. In my experience, though, unsubscribing from podcasts has no effect on stats.

    Hello again –

    I originally reached out back in June. Somebody named “staff-Zara” responded with some questions. I answered all the questions, but never received another response. So, I just continued using the app with the zeroed out stats.

    Since that time, I had used the app so much that I was sitting once again at approximately 30-days of listening time.

    Jump forward to yesterday, and my stats have *ONCE AGAIN* all been mysteriously reset to zero. This is incredibly frustrating.

    Can someone please contact me to try to get this fixed? I would like to get my stats back. Thank you.

  • @standupguru First of all, I’m really sorry! I’m not sure how your June message slipped through the cracks. I do see an existing bug report that may be related to your issue, however.
