No longer able to cast to Google TV Chromecast

I’m currently on PocketCast for Android v7.71
I’m no longer able to cast a podcast to my Google TV Chromecast. After selecting the device from my phone app, I can see the splash screen on my television. Then I pick a podcast to listen to and for half a second the podcast thumbnail appears on the television and then disappears. The podcast doesn’t play. On my phone, it says “buffering” until the chromecast device gets disconnected by me or due to a timeout.

My Google TV Chromecast is on Android v12 with patch level June 1, 2024. Kernel version is 4.9.269 (May 30th, 2024). The software is up to date as of today.

I have tested version 7.71 with my Chromecast dongle, and it’s working successfully. Unfortunately, I don’t have a Google TV Chromecast to test with. Is anybody else having this issue?
