Notifications have to be woke up…
-
I am noticing notifications for new episodes do not appear on the Android front Lock Screen until I manually bring up Pocket Cast and it refreshes itself. Then a bunch new notifications appear. Anyone else see this, or solved this?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, @dpesetsky3333! To start, can you please share the following information with us?
- Your device’s model
- The OS version on your device – you can usually find this from your phone’s Settings
- Your Pocket Casts app version – you can see this from the Pocket Casts app’s Profile > Settings (gear icon) > About
In the meantime, please check if you might have any battery restrictions set for the Pocket Casts app and make sure those are deactivated.

Device is Samsung S10e / SM-G970U
OS is Android 12
Pocket Casts version 7.53 (9174)
The battery setting for this App is set to “Unrestricted”.

Thanks for the information, @dpesetsky3333! Can you please try the suggestions here?

I know you’ve already checked that the app has “Unrestricted” battery use, but I’d still encourage you to go over the other suggestions for both Android 13 and Android 11 to see if those make a difference. Do let us know if they help!

I have a Samsung S22+ OS version 14 and I’m seeing the same behavior. I restarted my phone and got about 10 notifications. I checked the list of sleeping apps and pocketcast isn’t listed.
This bbehavior seems to have begun several weeks ago.

Thanks for the confirmation, @dwmilligan03027406e7
We do have a bug report opened for this. We hope to have the issue addressed in a future update.
If you have any additional information to share, you can consider adding it to that bug report
