Pause when skipping via pixel buds pro

when I skip, forward or backward, in pocket casta via my pixel buds pro 2, it pauses. This doesn’t happen when skipping via phone or android auto. This doesn’t happen when skipping via pixel buds pro in other apps.
I’ve reported to Google, but seems to be a pocket casts specific issue

Tagging in to say I’m having the same issue. Original Pixel Bud Pros, pauses every time I skip forward or backward using the tap controls.

I’m on pocketcast v7.80 (9303) and use pixel buds pro. I am also experiencing pause after a skip

+1 for another person having this issue after about a week ago (maybe less). Whenever I double-tap to skip forward or triple-tap to skip back, it will play a “chirp” of sound, then pause. Tapping again
Platform – Pixel 6a
OS – Android 15
Application Version – PocketCasts 7.80 (9303)
Earbuds – Pixel Buds Pro -
Thanks for these reports. Our developers have now identified the cause of this issue, and we have a fix lined up for the next app update. Keep an eye out for that and let us know if you still have trouble after the update.

I was having this issue with my Pixel Buds but the latest betas seem to have fixed it. But it’s niw happening using Bluetooth in my car. Does happen using Android Auto though. Is this related?

I’m glad to hear the issues with Pixel Buds is fixed!
The issue with the Bluetooth connection sounds like a separate issue. We have a bug report here: https://github.com/Automattic/pocket-casts-android/issues/3543
That said, it would be best for you to contact us from your mobile immediately after you replicate the issue again. When you do that, you will also be sending your app logs with us. You can reach out through the Pocket Casts app — Profile > Help & Feedback > Get in touch.
It would be helpful if you could note the title of the episode you were listening to and at approximately what time, so we can correlate it with the information from the logs. You can use this forum URL as a reference. -
I just recently started having this issue; Pixel 7a with Pixel Buds A-Series. I am updated to the latest beta, and skipping forward doesn’t pause (and will resume) my podcast, but skipping back has just started doing so.

This was fixed for me in a recent update. However, I may have experienced it again recently; not to the same scale, but it may have happened a few times

@staff-eleanor, I can confirm I have experienced some pausing after double or triple tapping to skip forward or back (Pixel Buds Pro, Pixel 6a). Not every time like previously, but every now and then. It’s not nearly as frustrating as the previous bug, fortunately.

I don’t suppose anyone has a link to the gh issue or commit with the pixel buds pro fix. I’m having this problem with an app of mine and just want to know how you went about sorting it.
