“play all” but from partway through a playlist
-
i’m moving over from spotify to here, and the only feature i currently miss from there was being able to pick where to start in a playlist and have that fill out the up next – i.e. in a playlist of 10 episodes, I could start at #6, and have 7, 8, 9, and 10 automatically added to my queue instead of having to manually add everything like i do here. is there something i’m missing?
“play all” is fine, but then I have to skip to the episode I want to start from, and that removes my up next episodes….

Hi, @agentkit! Welcome to Pocket Casts!
i’m moving over from spotify to here, and the only feature i currently miss from there was being able to pick where to start in a playlist and have that fill out the up next – i.e. in a playlist of 10 episodes, I could start at #6, and have 7, 8, 9, and 10 automatically added to my queue instead of having to manually add everything like i do here. is there something i’m missing?
Before we file this feature request for you, what do you think of doing the following?
- On a playlist, long-press on the episode you want to start playing from
- Long-press it again. You should now see options for:
- Select all above
- Select all
- Select all below
- Tap either “Select all above” or “Select all below” depending on which episodes you want to play
- Tap either “Play next” or “Play last” at the top toolbar. “Play next” will move all the episodes to the top of your Up Next queue. “Play last” will move them under any existing episodes you have in the queue.
If you already have all of the episodes in your Up Next queue, you can do something similar:
- On the Up Next queue, tap the “Select” icon on the upper-right corner of the screen
- Select an episode you don’t want to play
- Long-press on the episode. You should now see options for:
- Select all above
- Select all
- Select all below
- Tap either “Select all above” or “Select all below” depending on which episodes you don’t want to play
- Tap “Remove from Up Next” at the top toolbar.
I know that those are quite the steps, but once you get the hang of it, it may just be what you need.
Can you please give that a go and let us know if that works for you?
