“Playback Error – Streaming failed try downloading the podcast”

Hi,
Today I noticed that the podcast below (Clearer Thinking), which was working fine until now, started to produce the error message I mentioned in the title. In addition, I’m also now unable to download the episodes of that podcast.

Please note the following:
- I’m using Android 6.0 with Pocket Casts version 7.64 (9236)
- Cleared app cache – no luck
- Cleared data – no luck
- I’m not using any ad blockers or VPN
- Not using Bluetooth
- Error message occurs regardless of using Wifi or data connection (unable to play or download podcast in either case)
I understand that I’m using an older version of Pocket Casts. However, please understand that I’m unable to use the latest version, which is not compatible on my Android 6 device. By the way, I installed a different podcast app on my device and there is no problem playing and downloading the episodes.

The episode Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and beyond (with David Burns) plays fine on my Android phone.
As you mentioned, you’re using Pocket Casts version 7.64 (9236), which is not the latest version. While we understand you can’t upgrade due to your Android 6.0 device limitations, it’s important to note that older versions might lack bug fixes and compatibility updates that could be relevant to this issue. We can’t offer guaranteed solutions with an older app version.
Although you mentioned using another podcast app without issues, you may want to consider using a web browser using the provided link (https://pca.st/rq7nynvj) instead.
