Playback starts, then stops 2 seconds later

About 50% of the time, when I start my car, Pocket Casts successfully connects to car stereo and begins playing where it last left off. Two seconds later, playback stops and must be manually restarted. Once restarted, it plays fine.
Pocket Casts is enabled in the power saving exclusion list.
Podcast Republic and AntennaPod both work correctly in the same environment, so it’s something unique to Pocket Casts.

Hi there! Thanks for letting us know you’ve noticed an issue with the playback.
To help us investigate further, could you provide the following:- The OS version on your device – you can usually find this from your phone’s Settings
- Your Android Auto version – you can usually search for this in the phone’s Settings too, and it will often be in the “About” section
- Your Pocket Casts app version – you can see this from the Pocket Casts app’s Profile > Settings (gear icon) > About
Finally, please send app logs by reaching out to us through the app — Profile > Help & Feedback > Get in touch.

I tried the Get in touch link, but that just brings me here. No mention of how to submit logs.

Thanks for the update! Sorry about any confusion I may have caused regarding submitting app logs. Please try the following steps:
- Tap Profile.
- Tap Help & Feedback.
- On the upper-right corner of the Help & feedback screen, tap the “Logs” icon, which looks like three lines.
- From the Logs screen, you can now either copy or share the logs from one of the options in the upper-right corner. Select the option for email.

Thanks for sending the logs! I have reported this issue to the team so they can investigate further. I don’t have a time frame for reply, however.
In the meantime, please test clearing cache on your device. Updating to the latest version of the Android Auto and the Pocket Casts app. And, pausing an episode before connecting to the car speaker.
