Pocket Casts Plus

    Hello dear Pocket Casts team, 

    I bought the Android app Pocket Casts on 11.11.2014. 

    Now I have read that for those who have bought it, a Plus subscription for Android will be unlocked. 

    Could you unlock this for me?

    For context, in 2019, we switched from having each app be its own purchase to offering the iOS and Android apps for free. Access to the web and desktop apps was then limited to those with a Pocket Casts Plus subscription.

    Since the web app used to be a one-time purchase and we were moving it to a subscription, we then gave a lifetime Plus membership to those who had previously purchased the web app:

    You mentioned that you read somewhere that “a Plus subscription for Android will be unlocked.” While that is not accurate—and since this concern is about Plus and your account status—I’ll be reaching out to you for more information so we can check on it.     Hello! I have the same issue- in 2016, I purchased Pocket Casts, and now I have a ‘free’ account. I’m very disappointed in this change, and am hoping that this can be clarified.

  • @hamandturkey Did your purchase was for the web app or for the mobile app?

    As mentioned above, the lifetime membership was given to those who have purchased the web app, not the mobile app.
