Pocket Casts Plus pricing confusion

I received an email yesterday reminding me of my upcoming subscription renewal for what appeared to be $9.99/year. Then today I got a notification from Google Play regarding a price increase to $39.99/year. My understanding was that the Plus pricing would increase to $14.99/year for existing subscribers (I have been a subscriber since 2/1/2022). Is this correct?
