Pocketcasts autoplay the next in que when phone connects to car radio

Pocketcasts auto-plays when the phone bluetooth connects to the car radio. I can find no way to turn this off. Any ideas?

Good question! At the moment, we do not have an option in the app itself which makes this happen, so it is likely an opinion in your phone settings or Car Radio which causes it to automatically resume the last item that was played on your device. Can you check that out?
Generally, if you listened to a song using a music app last, that would also automatically resume when you connect your phone to your car.
I am aware that some infotainment systems like Android Auto have an option like this automatically enabled, so going to the Android Auto settings will allow you to adjust this option.

Thank you for your quick reply. I have searched high and low and could not find a setting. However, your suggestion that there may be an “Android Auto” app setting. I found “Android Auto” under “Connected Devices” in Settings. Sure enough, there is a setting in Android Auto to “Start Music Automatically”. I’ll see if this works.

Apart from the Android Auto settings or any on your car’s infotainment system, another option you might want to look into is an app called Bluetooth connect & Play. Other users have previously used this to set which apps should/should not play automatically over Bluetooth.
