Podcast episodes truncated in IOS app

In the last few weeks, episodes in one of the podcasts I subscribe to (via a private feed) have stopped playing in the IOS app after 30-40 seconds. If I play the same episode through the web interface, the pop-up with the episode info changes the length (next to the hourglass icon) as “36 seconds” (or whatever) once the episode starts, but it does play through the entire length, and the player at the bottom of the window shows the full length (which is around 15 minutes). In the IOS app, the player also shows the full length, but stops playing after reaching the 36-second (or whatever, variable with each episode) point.
Is this a bug in the app?

What you describe sounds like something we’ve been seeing on iOS when MP3 files report the incorrect number of valid frames.
To confirm whether that’s the case, I’ll be emailing to ask for more information about the private podcast. Then, we can run some tests on the episode files.

I’ll go ahead and mark this forum thread as resolved since the issue does not seem to be occurring again after the podcast author made changes on their end. We can reopen the thread if the issue resurfaces though!
