Podcast Repeats like a Broken Record

  Hi there,

  I’ve been having this issue on Pocket Casts for iOS the past couple months. I’ll be listening to a podcast and randomly it will skip back about 1 minute and play a section I’ve already heard. I have no idea how to fix it and often it means the podcast will end before it is actually over. The issue does not occur when I am listening offline.

  Any ideas on how I can fix this? I am on version 7.49.0.3.

  Good question! We are noticing that episodes which have dynamic ads inserted into them have this kind of problem occurring. This is since the ads are constantly changing when you stream the episode, and each ad has a different duration.

  The only workaround would be to download the episodes from podcasts affected with this issue, since that will prevent the ads from constantly changing.

  We are also investigating this matter and are looking into other ways to address this.
