podcast rewinded frequently

When playing podcasts in the background with the screen off, any notification or app that wakes the screen causes the podcast to automatically rewind (sometimes by 10-15 seconds, other times back to the very beginning). This also happens while the screen is on if I pull down the notification shade.Note: I’ve seen similar reports in the Play Store reviews. I already tried disabling ‘Intelligent playback resumption’ as suggested by the developer, but the issue persists.

  • Hi there, @shenyuehuan! Thanks for testing the “Intelligent Playback Resumption” setting. If you’re on an iOS device please test toggling off the setting for “Enable Lock Screen Scrubbing” at Profile → Settings → General.

If you’re using an Android device, please check the battery optimization options. Go to Settings → Apps → Pocket Casts → Battery → set to “Unrestricted” or “Don’t optimize”. If your device has extra “Put apps to sleep” or “Adaptive battery” options, add Pocket Casts to the “Never sleeping”/exception list. (Steps may vary based on the type of device and Android version you have.)

If you continue to have trouble with the playback let us know. Please contact us from the app by going to Profile > Help & feedback > Contact Support > Get Support. This way we get the debug logs for the device. In your message please include a link to this forum post for reference. Thank you!
