Podcasts Not Updating/Found

    Hi Pocket Casts,

    I am writing about three issues where the Pocket Casts app is not working.

    First, the podcast The Revealer (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-revealer/id1497578518) has not updated on your app since Aug. 30, 2023. Yet there are many more recent episodes, including through August 2024. Can you please re-link this podcast so that new episodes appear in the Pocket Casts feed?

    Second, the POP: Public Opinion Podcast (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/pop-public-opinion-podcast/id1685679441) does not appear in Pocket Casts, even though it’s on Apple Podcasts. Can you please add this podcast to your library?

    Third, I added Pocket Casts to my Sonos app services (I have a Sonos 1 speaker and an iPhone 12) but when I search podcast titles within the Sonos app, none of them appear as search results — in fact, there are no results from Pocket Casts within the Sonos app. How can this be fixed? Is there a reason that Pocket Casts does not properly connect within the Sonos app?

    Thanks for the report! I see that the RSS feed on our end was outdated, so I’ve updated the feed URL and confirmed the latest episodes are on Pocket Casts.

    Third, I added Pocket Casts to my Sonos app services (I have a Sonos 1 speaker and an iPhone 12) but when I search podcast titles within the Sonos app, none of them appear as search results — in fact, there are no results from Pocket Casts within the Sonos app. How can this be fixed?

    Sonos communicates directly with the Pocket Casts servers. So, if certain podcasts are not showing up in Sonos, it may be that you subscribed to those podcasts on your mobile app while logged out of your Pocket Casts sync account. As a result, no subscription information was sent to our servers. To remedy this, here are some steps you can follow:

    1. On your Pocket Casts mobile app, make sure you are logged in to your sync account in the Profile tab and that there are no errors there
    2. While still on the mobile app, unsubscribe from the podcast you do not see on Sonos
    3. Re-subscribe to the podcast
    4. Head back to the Profile tab and click “Refresh Now”
    5. Check if the podcast now appears in Sonos
