Podcasts start randomly playing (i.e. unpausing)

A few times a day the Pocket Casts app starts playing when my phone is locked and the Pocket Casts app is closed.
There are no Bluetooth devices connected.
This has tended to happen when my hand passed along the bottom edge of the phone.
This started about three weeks ago.

Hi, @gbouras1! That is very strange behavior indeed.
Which version of the Android OS is your OnePlus 9 Pro running? You can usually find that from your phone’s Settings > About phone > Software information.
In addition, from a quick search about the OnePlus 9 Pro, it looks like it has gesture features. Can you see if you might have any enabled, like Music Control, as shown in this video?

I checked gestures and nothing was enabled that is related to music or media playback in any way.

By this, do you mean that there are other gestures enabled for you? If yes, can you please test temporarily disabling all of those just to help us narrow down this issue? The reason I ask is that the following behavior you shared is very unusual:

I haven’t encountered anything like this before, and I’m also unable to replicate it on my device. Granted, I’m not using a OnePlus phone.

i am also having this issue. I do not have gestures activated on my phone. It happens regardless of Bluetooth or wifi connection.
I have a REVVL6 Android.
The app is updated.
