Podcasts stopping to play on iOS 18.3.1

    since a few weeks pocetcasts stopps playing randomly. I have tried skipping some seconds backwards or forward. The Show stops at the same time and won‘t play at a later time either. Even downloading the episode does not help.

    I tried closing the App but the only help I found was restarting the phone. This is terrible frustrating.
    I just found out that waiting a few minutes seems to help also.
    I read a little in the forums but could not find a simmilar mistake. But I found that the App also jumps a few minutes back randomly. I can live with that but not with the Show not playing at all.

    can you do something about that?

    iOS ist meanwile arrived at 18.3.2

    I have Not noticed the Problem since this update. But I did not listen much Podcast since.

    in the Update there was mentioned a bugfix concerning some streaming apps.

    maybe the Problem is already fixed? I will keep you upto Date.

    this Podcast stoppen just at the start of the commercial Break at 0:35:

    but now I could Klick on the Play Button several times and the Show continued.

    We actually released version 7.84 of the app yesterday. Could you please update to that version when you have a chance? It includes further improvements and bug fixes. Let us know if you continue to experience any issues after updating.

    Hej, I updated the App but the Problem persists.

    I just Bad the Problem with This Episode at around 6:10

    The Show is from Tim pritlove, I am Shure he knows what he is doing.

    @konstantinknet We haven’t had other reports like this lately, so it would be useful to know if the issue might be specific to your device.

    Can you please check the following?

    1. Do you perhaps have a firewall, VPN, or ad-blocker active on your device that could interrupt your network connection?
    2. Please also check your primary WiFi connection. In particular, please see if it has any sort of ad-blocking or filtering installed on it. One example would be this: https://pi-hole.net/

    In addition, please try connecting to a different network or even to mobile data. Then, please see if the issue doesn’t occur with that connection. Let us know how that goes!

    thank you, I think the Problem does not persist. At least it seems like that.

    I dont know what caused it or what fixed it…

    Glad to hear the issue is no longer present. I suspect that there might be network issues on this podcast host side that was preventing playback and now is resolved.
