Private feeds from Patreon not updating?

Hey all – I’m subscribed to a number of private feeds from Patreon, all from one company, the Bulwark. None of them have updated in the last 36 hours or so, but the addresses all work in other podcast clients. Can someone from the team check and see if they need refreshing? Only a couple of the feeds will have new episodes in the last day or so but I’m including them all in case there is some kind of over-arching issue. Thank you! – Phil

Hi Phil! Thanks for the links. I did find a delay in parsing for some of the podcasts. Could you test refreshing the feed for each one on your device?
From the podcast’s details screen you can pull down to refresh or tap on the three dot menu and tap Refresh Episode List. Give that a try and let us know if that helps.

i am also having the same issue with two of the above bulwark private subscriber feeds not updating since july 24:

https://api.substack.com/feed/podcast/87961/s/87957/private/refreshing does not work nor does unsubscribing and re-subscribing. the feeds ARE updating on other apps (e.g. podcast addict).
has anything been done/learned about this issue?

actually one of them updated with a new episode – but not with any of the episodes that were missed. So I think there’s still an issue.

so one of them is now definitely updating. The one that is not is literally at 1000 episodes in the feed (this is their biggest show, “The Bulwark”). Does Pocket Casts’ directory support that many episodes in the RSS feed? Can it just not have 1001? Just wondering.

looks like both (the bulwark pod & the secret pod) are updating here. i am now completely up to date on both.
i’ll know for certain tomorrow (mon) re: the bulwark pod, as it comes our daily during the week. the secret pod only comes out fridays.

@brooklynfall There isn’t any set limit to how many episodes can be shown in Pocket Casts. Pocket Casts will list all episodes available in the feed. The feed is probably limiting the number of items published.

Over the weekend, all the Bulwark feeds except for Bulwark Takes started updating, but today I’ve got nothing again. I’ve also got private feeds.

The public feed for this particular podcast seems to be working, interestingly.

so far so good here. the bulwark pod updated today, as well as bulwark takes (which never stopped updating for me).
re: staff-dexter’s thought about a limit on the number of items published, i do not think this is the cae (e.g. the bulwark pod shows 1001 episodes)

We’re aware of an issue affecting some of The Bulwark’s subscriber-only feeds, and our team is actively working on it. There was a recent update that may improve things a bit, but we’re still investigating the root cause — so the feeds might not be fully reliable just yet.
