Private/Paid RSS feed not updating

I have a private/paid RSS feed that doesn’t seem to updating in pocket casts. I’ve added the RSS feed to another podcasting app and it seems to have the most up to date episodes in that app, so it’s not a feed issue. It appears to be a PocketCast issue.

A little more background. The last episode Pocket Casts sees if from October. I have unsubscribed from the feed for a month and now tried to resubscribed hoping that would fix it, but it hasn’t.

To start, have you tried manually refreshing the episode list within the Pocket Casts app?

I think I had tried that before by pulling down on the podcast episode list. But doing the refresh again didn’t work.

Could you share the app platform + version and more details about the private feed you’ve been trying?

Hello,
l’m on iOS 18.3.1 and app version 7.83.0.5.
It’s a nebula podcast. The RSS feed starts: https://podcasts.watchnebula.com/thelayover/ then a bunch of characters which I assume is all the info you need to access the paid content.

According to the feed, this show’s latest episode was released on 12 March 2025.
Are you able to view the episode from 12 March 2025?

I’m also having the same issue with this same podcast. The last episode I see is from 26 March.

I added exactly the same podcast to my account (account email should be the same as the one I’m using here) after seeing this post and it wasn’t updating either. (I added the feed 2 weeks ago and the new update from last Wednesday is still not showing)

Yes it is good now. I’ll need to check if the refreshing works the coming Wednesday when the next episode should drop.

@yuyichao Glad to hear that worked, and thanks for reporting back too! Of course, if there’s another issue on Wednesday, please let us know. Please do keep in mind, however, that we do not always immediately parse podcast updates, and it can take up to 20 minutes on average for us to do so. We have more information on that here:
