Progress sync not working with new Sonos App

    Just wanted to chime in and say I am also having this issue. For now I am working around it with an app called “AirMusic” from the play store (it’s not free but the functionality is useful enough for me to pay the fee). Since it’s streaming the audio directly from the app, playback effects also work, as a bonus feature.

    Good morning and happy new year!

    Dropping in again to see if PocketCasts can add direct casting capability to my Sonos system similar to how Spotify and Audible provide. This has to be something that should be implementable relatively easily.

    Mind you, this issue has persisted for 8 months now with no resolution. And I pay for PocketCasts.

    How is it possible that functionality like playback progress sync and marking a podcast as played be so broken? These functions should be expected in any app that exists only to play podcasts. I would prefer Pocket Casts simply say that it’s not going to be fixed instead of leading us along for nearly a year with something like “We’re working on it.”

    Our team has been actively investigating the problems with the Sonos integration, and it appears the latest Sonos app update may have introduced some breaking API changes on their end. We’re still working to confirm this is the root cause.

    Any news or progress in the last 6 months? I still have this problem on IOS.

    Can sadly confirm the issue is still present for me. Sonos swears it is not them, but who knows.
