Query from user: Can’t Delete or Archive Episodes

  We received this request a few days ago:

  Up to this week I was able to delete a podcast by swiping from the left to right on the episode of the podcast.

  I no longer see the icon to delete a podcast.

  I’ve seen the information about deleting a podcast by using the ellipsis to the top right of the screen on the iPhone app. When I try to do this, I do not see an option to delete episodes.

  have tried using Select Episode and then trying to delete. This does not work. Again, no option to delete.

  Second, I cannot find a way to delete Archived episodes. I have tried to use the support page at the Pocket Casts webpage.

  Based on the information shared, it sounds like you want to delete podcast episodes. We looked into what might have happened here – the most likely issue is that the ‘Show Archived’ setting was changed via Profile > Settings > General > ‘Show Archived’. Ensure that it is set to ‘Hide’.

  With regards to deleting episodes, we do not directly have a ‘delete’ button. The ‘Archive’ button serves as the ‘delete’ button. Please try using the ‘archive’ button: https://d.pr/i/j27h01
  Archiving an episode will automatically delete the episode file (if it was downloaded) and hide it from the episode list (unless you have the setting for archived episodes to be shown).
