Question about filters / feature request

I am new to Pocket Casts and have a question about the filters. I would like to listen to my three news podcasts in the morning before I continue with my normal queue. I have therefore created a filter for the news podcasts and then press “Play all episodes” within the filter in the morning – unfortunately my entire queue is then replaced by the news podcasts instead of just prepending them to the existing queue. Am I doing something wrong or is this the intended behavior? In that case, an otpion would be great that the existing queue remains present and the selected episodes are just prepended.

i use the podcast ‘auto add to up next’ setting to accommodate this in my queue. Under the podcast itself, settings, auto add to up next’, you can choose whether it adds to the start or end of your current what next. Maybe this helps?

It is intended for the Filter to overwrite your existing Up Next queue. We have a feature request opened to adjust the way this works and we hope to have this available in the future. If other users request it in this thread, it will increase its chances of being implemented.
That said, the solution shared by @hdsheena is great! Please give that a try for now :)
