Queue auto sorting or Multiple queues?

+1 on the multiple queue feature.

I would love to have one queue for latest podcasts, then a queue for old podcasts. New episodes get added to the first queue, and once that queue is finished, it goes to the second queue.

  • Hi there, @jakeharrison1992! Thanks for sharing your feedback about this. I’ve added your vote to the feature request too.

what I’m doing here is I have a an additional playlist set to show my unplayed higher priority podcasts (for me it’s the ones that release daily or every other day). I can play that playlist first and then play the “new episodes” playlist. Unfortunately they’re no way to automatically play the second playlist after the first one, but it does help.

  • @npaladin2000 thank you for sharing your process for this! That does sound like a great way to handle it for now.

As for playing a playlist after the first playlist completes, did you have an idea of how a feature like that would be implemented? I’d be happy to forward it along to our team as a feature request.

One thought is to add a playlist to a queue rather than replacing the existing queue with a playlist. Another option is adding an action to play another playlist when a particular playlist is complete. For example, play the Play Daily playlist, in the Play Daily playlist set the next playlist to be played as the New Releases Playlist, and in that one configure the next playlist on completion to be Starred, or maybe Downloaded? Something like that. That’s just off the top of my head, I haven’t diagrammed or pseudocoded it. There’s probably issues with the logic.

  • @npaladin2000 Thanks for the suggestion.

You could still add the playlist items to an existing queue. Instead of tapping on Play All, you can select the episodes in the playlist or select all, then add it to the existing queue.
