Refresh not working

  For maybe six months, my refresh function has not worked. The lists of my podcasts has been in the same order the entire time, even though my podcasts list new episodes. It used to show podcasts with new episodes first. Please advise.

  • Which platform are you using Pocket Casts on (e.g., Web, desktop, mobile) and which device are you using?
  • Which version of the Pocket Casts app are you on?

  Sure thing. I use it on my iPhone.

  I don’t have the Plus version, if that’s what you mean.

  I can’t figure out how to add a screenshot (it won’t accept a drag and drop, and i’m not seeing a way to attach it), but under each individual podcast the way it shows up is “newest to oldest.”

  Thanks for confirming that you’re using the iPhone app. Regarding the version, we just wanted to check that your app is updated to the latest version (7.81).

  Just to clarify, is the issue that you can’t see new episodes in your podcasts, or is it that the episodes are there, but they are not ordered correctly?

  Have you tried signing out and back in?

  What do you see if you go to your profile and tap ‘Refresh now’?

  Screenshots would really help here. You should be able to drag and drop an image into the comment editor. Or you can type /image to add an image block which will let you upload an image directly.

  Hi Donnie,

  I have version 7.81. Within each podcast I have the new episodes; the issue is that they are not ordered correctly. Example: right now the top four are npr news, fresh air, tara brach, and minnesota today, etc. This never changes, no matter how many times i hit refresh. It used to be the case that when i refreshed it, any podcasts with new episodes would appear first.

  I have signed out and in. When I tap “refresh now,” it “refreshes” (it tells me last freshed in 0 seconds) but the screen doesn’t change.

  Hi @mattiemartha,

  Are you hitting the refresh button on the Podcasts tab?

  Podcasts Tab

  If so, would you try adjusting the “Sort By” settings? You can choose from the following:

  • Date Added
  • Name
  • Episode Release Date
  • Drag & Drop – you can rearrange your podcasts by long-pressing on a podcast and dragging it to your desired position
