Refreshing Paid/Patreon Podcasts That Aren’t Updating With New Episodes

  • If you’re having trouble with a private/premium podcast feed — through Patreon, for example — where new episodes of the show aren’t available in Pocket Casts, we have implemented the ability to request a refresh of the feed through the Pocket Casts mobile app.

    To request the podcast be updated:

    1. Navigate to the Podcasts tab and tap on the podcast within the list/grid.
    2. Tap on the gear icon to open the podcast’s settings.
    3. If the app has detected a problem with the podcast feed, you should see a “Feed Issue Detected” error message at the top.
    4. Tap on the notice and follow the steps to request an update of the feed through our servers.

    It may take a bit before our servers are able to check the feed for new episodes, so they may not appear within the app immediately. But if you’re still having trouble with the podcast after an hour or two, you can feel free to get in touch.
