Request: 2nd tap on the Search tab should focus search field & show keyboard

After tapping the Search tab, tapping it a second time should place focus in the search field and show the keyboard. This makes it easier to enter search text since you don’t need to change hand position to reach the top of the screen.
This has become such a common design pattern that it feels like an app is broken when it’s not supported.
For reference, two apps that do it are Apple Music and Google Photos.

And I just realized the tab name is Discover (not
Search). I guess I just always key off of the icon, never noticing the label! 🙈 -

Oh, nice new feature! But I think it’s introduced a new bug where tapping twice on “Podcasts” does the same thing but shouldn’t:

I agree! A second tap on the Podcasts tab should always return to the top-level Podcasts screen, similar to how tapping the Filters or Profile tabs returns to the top-level of their content. Think of them like a “home” button for each tab.
The Discover tab is different as its primary purpose is to search, so it makes sense to open a search on the second tap.
