Sam Harris podcast

I have subscription to Sam Harris podcast and it’s not showing up in my Pocket Cast feed. I reached out to Sam Harris’ team and they said it was a pocket cast issue—has anyone had this issue or know when it will be resolved?

Hi there, @ahankin
As we discussed via email, it looks like the podcast host is blocking our parser from accessing the feed. The author of the podcast would need to ensure Pocket Casts isn’t being blocked.
We have no control over this, since we are getting a 403 (Forbidden) Error when trying to parse the feed

I have the same issue and have been in touch with the Sam Harris team. Their response is that “It has come to our attention that this issue is originating from Pocket Casts servers, and unfortunately, we have no direct control over it.”
The RSS feed works fine with other players like Spotify. It looks like both pocketcasts and Sam Harris are pointing to the other with the problem, but it’s not clear you’re in touch with each other seeking to confirm what the issue is. Is this happening, please?

Hi there – I am having the exact same issue as well. It just came to my attention with the release of the latest episode, which is not visible in my Pocket Casts. I’ve also tried re-adding the RSS feed using my private url, but Pocket Casts says it cannot find it. I am about to reach out to the Sam Harris team, but from the previous comments I think I can guess what response I will get. Can someone at Pocket Casts please help, or should I just look for a new podcast app?

@staff-joey8 I just noticed this is marked as solved – but it’s not solved. The Making Sense podcast (Sam Harris) is not updating, and their team says the problem is on your end.

Hi – just to say I’ve cancelled my Pocketcasts paid subscription. It’s by far the best podcast app I’ve used but I can’t justify using several apps for the same purpose and given the lack of response here I’ve decided to move back to Overcast. All the best.

After speaking to one of the team at Sam Harris’ website, they have said:
”It has come to our attention that this issue is originating from Pocket Casts servers, and we have no direct control over it.
Our team is actively monitoring the situation, and we hope that Pocket Casts will resolve the problem as soon as possible”
I have used the rss link they provided in Spotify and it works fine. Hopefully Pocket Cast/Sam Harris can resolve the issue at some point.
