Search Episodes within Subscribed Podcasts
-
I want to search within my subscriptions for specific episodes on a related topic. For example, I would like to search the title of a movie and receive results from just the podcasts I am subscribed to so that I can add all episodes about that movie to my playlist. Is this feature in the works or is there a work around I can use to get the same results?

I’ve added this to our list of feature requests, so you may see it in a future release. Features are considered by our developers for every release based on the number of requests we receive for that feature. If other Pocket Casts users also request this feature, it increases the chance of it being built.

@mikerockwell Thank you very much! As a Plus subscriber and heavy user, it’s good to know that this is something you have planned or that is already in the works 🎉
I am aware that this is a newly developed app, and when I first started using it, I didn’t miss searching for episodes of the podcasts I follow. However, now that I have so many episodes to choose from, it’s hard to find the right one when I only remember a word from the title, for example, but not the date or which podcast it was… 🤔

I just want to +1 this feature. This is the only feature I use in Overcast that I wish I could recreate here. Being able to search only my subscriptions for episodes on a specific topic would be amazing.

I would also love to have this feature. I really like Pocket Casts and have been using Plus for several years but the lack of this feature is really making me look towards other players that have this feature available (like Overcast). I have too many subscriptions and being able to search for episodes within the subscribed shows just makes life easier. Bonus points if there is the possibility to search within folders.

+1000. This is essential in an age where podcasts are a primary news source. I will never consider a paid subscription in the absence of this feature

Hi there, @alexandertheophilusgreen, and @yonigrady! Thank you for your feedback. I’ve added your vote to the feature request about improving search.
