Set playlist to not auto-archive?
-
Maybe I should lay out the use case, so it can be better understood. I have several podcasts with a lot of backlog that I want to listen to, but I have them divided up into several playlists so they’re sorted by categories. Currently if I want to avoid them being auto-archived I have to “star” them all but if I do that, then my “Starred” playlist, which I’m using for the miscellaneous episodes that I’ll likely unstar when done, will get huge. Any workflow thoughts on how I can get around this, or barring that, thoughts on adding a playlist feature to maybe not archive playlist contents?

@npaladin2000 you can go to Profile > Settings (top-right cog icon) > Auto Archive > change “Played Episodes” to “Never”.
This is a global option though and it will apply to the whole app. However, you can manually archive the episodes and I think this can solve the issue you’re experiencing.

Ok , if I manually archive the episodes it’ll work for now. If Archive Played Episodes after playing is still on, but archive inactive episodes is set to Never, will episodes only be archived after they’re played, no matter how long they sit?

@npaladin2000 Your understanding is correct. If Archive Played Episodes: After Playing is enabled, but Archive Inactive Episodes is set to Never,Episodes will only ever be automatically archived after you are done listening to them.
You also have the option to apply the same setup to just certain podcasts by going to Podcasts > specific podcast > Podcast Settings (gear icon) > Auto Archive.
