Sharing podcasts no longer works

    Hi @oyood! We asked the developers about this and found that the sharing link preview in the app is the Instagram stories preview. The sharing link URL can be submitted to other platforms. However, the way the content of the sharing link is interpreted by the other platforms can vary.

    The receiving app usually fetches the URL and tries to parse OpenGraph (og) tags from the html to populate the preview with the artwork, title, and additional fields. If the app doesn’t support link previews, then the podcast artwork or description won’t load.

    To see if the sharing link includes the og elements you can use this site mentioned earlier in the thread: https://thumbsmith.com/validator If the elements load in the preview there, then it means that the receiving app is not able to display the info.

    I’m sorry we’re not able to assist further in this case. I know it’s frustrating not to see the artwork and other info. when sharing the link.

    Yes, it’s been working again for about a week. The problem seems to be that it works for a while, but then breaks down again. As you can see in the thread. So I’m afraid I’ll be writing here again in a few weeks. But let’s hope that doesn’t happen.
