[Siri Shortcuts] Siri says it can’t find …

Regardless of what voice command I assign to play a specific filter, siri says “I couldn’t find X in your pocket casts library.” This is also so true for the default that was assigned when I first created the shortcut.

I have also tried renaming my filters so that they are all lowercase letters but this gives the same result.

I have just recently switched back to pocket casts so I know I have the latest version.

Once I have started playing a filtered list, simply asking siri to pause/resume will work with that active filter.

A reboot was required for the new siri shortcut to be recognized. I retested that by creating a new filter and then adding a new shortcut which gave the same error about not being found until I rebooted my phone. I am running iOS 17.5.1 on an iPhone 15 Pro Max.

  • I’m glad to hear a reboot did the trick for you! I’ve just done some testing for this on my end and wasn’t able to recreate the issue — I was able to use the Siri Shortcut without having to reboot first.

If you’re still experiencing this issue at all, please let us know and I’ll be happy to forward this along to our developers as a bug report.

I can still reproduce this. I wonder if it has something to do with having voiceover and voice control enabled. At least it is a pretty minor hiccup.

  • @kg6sxy thanks for the update. I have flagged this with our developers. They will look into fixing it in a future update.

If more users report such an issue, it will increase its priority.
