Skipping with headphone controls broken on 7.53 update

Hi all
I found over the last few weeks that I have been unable to skip forward or backwards using the controls on my headphones. The podcast will pause and un-pause in the same place. The controls work normally in other apps so I think this is exclusive to pocket casts. It’s happened since the 7.53 update and resolved by a rolling back to an older version. Wondering if anybody else had the same problem or if this is a known issue which has a fix coming up?

We have heard from some people that there is trouble in our Android app with skipping when using Pixel Buds. A correction for this issue will be in our 7.54 release on the Google App store.
If that doesn’t sound like the issue you’re seeing can you let us know which OS your phone is on, it’s model, and the kind of head phones you’re using when you have trouble skipping in our app?
