Slow releases from Patreon

Hi! every new episodes from podcasts that I subscribe to from Patreon hits my Pocket Cast feed after like 1,5 hours after the release from Patreon. But other Podcast APPs get the new episodes immediately. What’s up with that?

Our backend feed system prioritizes how frequently it checks feeds for new episodes, at least partially, based on the number of subscribers to the podcast. This does have the effect of private/premium feeds being checked less often than public feeds — since the private feed, presumably, has only a single subscriber.
This is something that our developers are aware and I’ve gone ahead and added your comments to our existing feature request to reprioritize these types of feeds. I don’t have an estimated timeframe and am not able to confirm that a change like that will be made, but hopefully our developers will consider it soon.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up and good that you are aware of the issue! Is there any button or function to manually check for new episodes from podcast’s that you subscribe to?

We don’t currently have a way to manually refresh a feed within the app. This is something that our developers have heard from other users about as well. I’ve gone ahead and added your comment to the existing feature request for this so that our developers can better consider it when prioritizing new feature development.
