Smart Playlist ‘Play All’ Only Queues 10 Episodes on iOS

  Hi,

  When I tap “Play All” on a Smart Playlist on iOS, only the first 10 episodes are added to the queue. Is there a reason why the entire playlist can’t be queued at once?

  I’m currently running iOS 26.3. Thanks!

  Hi there! It sounds like you may need to update the Auto add limit for the Up Next list.

  1. Open Pocket Casts and go to Profile (bottom right).
  2. Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
  3. Go to Auto add to Up Next.
  4. Increase Auto Add Limit from 10 to a higher value (options include 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, or 1000 episodes).
  5. Go back to your Smart Playlist and tap Play All again.

  After you increase this limit, more (or all, depending on the size of the playlist) of the Smart Playlist should be added to your Up Next queue when you tap Play All.

  This fixed my issue, thank you. That said, I don’t think it makes much sense, the button is literally called ‘Play All,’ yet it doesn’t actually play all unless you tweak the settings.
