Some NPR podcasts won’t stream or download today.

Starting this afternoon, multiple podcasts from NPR won’t play or download any new or old episodes. “Playback error. Streaming failed try downloading the podcast.” These are shows with multiple short episodes every day, like NPR News Now, All Things Considered, and Morning Edition. The new episodes show up in the list but won’t play.
The same feeds play fine in another podcast app. Other podcasts stream and download fine in Pocket Casts. I installed the latest app update last night or this morning, and an Android system update installed overnight last night.

I tried playing the episode NPR News: 07-26-2024 4AM EDT and it streamed fine for me and I was also able to download it.
In case I listened to the wrong podcast, can you please share at least one of the following with us from a podcast that’s not playing for you?
- Podcast listing on other platforms like Apple Podcasts
- RSS feed URL

Thanks for replying. I don’t know what fixed it, but all of the podcasts that weren’t working at all on Thursday started working fine on Friday morning.
It probably doesn’t require any follow-up because it’s working now. In case it’s useful for troubleshooting or if it happens again, here are a couple of the feeds:

@thoroughplatypus I see we had a temporary server issue which likely caused your issue. That has been resolved by now, however. Thanks for reporting back that things are working well now too! I’ll go ahead and close this thread.
