Sort by Release Date on Web Player and macOS includes archived episodes

Currently, sorting by “Release Date” in the “Podcasts” view of the macOS App (Version 1.5.2) includes archived episodes, which the mobile app doesn’t do.
Is this intended? If so, could we get an option to exclude archived episodes from sorting (so that the podcast with the neweset unarchived/unlistened episode shows up first, like it does on the iOS app)?

When viewing an individual podcast’s episode list, you can choose to show or hide archived episodes — click on the three dot menu at the top of the list and check or uncheck the “Show Archived” option to toggle whether they are shown or not.
If you had something else in mind, though, please let us know!

I know that hiding archived episodeds for an individual podcast is possible. However, I meant the general overview of podcasts and the sorting there. Even when hiding archived episodes they still get considered for sorting in the overview of all podcasts.
View in episode list (first unarchived episode is from 06.07):
View in podcasts overview still shows last episode from yesterday (and considers it for sorting by release date):
