Spring Cleaned iPhone Overwritten by iPad

I spent some time cleaning up and organizing the podcasts and folders on my primary Pocket Casts listening device, which is my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I plan to use my iPad during the plane trip due to the longer battery life, so I opened the app to ensure I was still signed in. When I opened the iPad app it pushed those settings to my iPhone during the sync process.

    • What did I do wrong for this to happen?

    • What “Setting” caused this to happen? What should the settings be so that the iPhone is the primary device?

    • Is this reversible?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi there, @bradmatthews 👋

What did I do wrong for this to happen?

This is quite interesting. Can you please confirm if all of your devices connected to Pocket Casts is up to date?

Also, how many devices do you have connected? Is it just the two?

What “Setting” caused this to happen? What should the settings be so that the iPhone is the primary device?

We don’t have a specific setting which will make a device the primary device of the account; however, the account with the most up-to-date sync data will be the account used.

    Is this reversible?

I am afraid that once the changes are overridden, we don’t have a way to revert them. Our team are looking into this case, so if you’re able to share the information we requested, we will appreciate it :)

    Thanks!
