Suggestion – Integrating Subscription Models for Paid Podcasts and Patreon

  Hello Pocket Casts Team,

  I wanted to share a suggestion that could potentially enhance the user experience and broaden the reach for both podcast creators and listeners.

  Currently, many podcast creators offer premium content through paid subscription models, often using platforms like Patreon. It would be fantastic if Pocket Casts could integrate the ability for users to subscribe to paid podcasts directly through the app. This would streamline the process for listeners and provide an all-in-one solution.

  Additionally, considering the growing popularity of crowdfunding platforms like Patreon, it would be great if podcast creators could link their Patreon (or equivalent) accounts directly to their Pocket Casts podcast page. This would allow fans to easily support their favorite podcasts and access exclusive content within the app.

  I believe these features would not only enhance the value proposition of Pocket Casts but also foster a stronger sense of community between podcast creators and their listeners. Your team’s expertise in podcasting and commitment to user satisfaction make you well-suited to implement such a feature.
