Sync between phone and web-player

What is the current ‘sync’ setting?
I was hoping it was Pause button, but whenever i drive to work i use my Android phone (android auto) and then start web player -> Sync works fine.When during the day i hit pause on the web browser and jump i my car, it continues to play from when I arrived at work.
when i then come back to my pc and hit unpause, it start again from where i was in the car (ergo back).how do i force a sync from the webplayer when hitting pause?

Hi there! As a first step, could you please ensure that you’re logged into the same Pocket Casts account on all your devices? You can verify this by checking the “Profile” tab in the mobile app.
While you’re in the “Profile” tab, also check to see if there are any errors displayed. This will help us determine if there’s an issue with syncing.

I’am logged in on both devices with the same ‘Plus’ Account.
No error’s are there.
Should it always sync when hitting Pause? -
The web player syncs instantly to our servers when you hit pause. However, our mobile apps only sync every 5 minutes (to avoid excessive battery drain), so what’s probably happening is that the phone isn’t syncing the latest playback position from the web app before you start playing again.
What I’d suggest if you’re regularly switching between mobile and web app, is that you manually refresh the mobile app whenever you start and stop using it. To do that, go to Profile, and hit ‘Refresh now’.
