Transcript not working for private podcasts?

I am a pocketcast+ subscriber since a short while, transcripts work fine for the podcasts I tested it with except one. The specificity of this one is, it’s a private podcast (it’s a podcast link specific to me because I’m a paying subscriber for this podcast – it provides access to a version of the podcast without ads).
I know that the apple podcast app does not support transcripts for private podcasts (they do the transcription in the cloud for all public podcasts, or at least all popular ones). Is it the same for PocketCast? I had the hope the transcription was happening locally on device…

Hi there, @hobbes444! Thanks for asking about this. The transcript feature is available for episodes that the podcast author has included a transcript, and for podcasts where the transcript has been automatically generated on Pocket Casts’ servers. The automated transcript is not generated on the device.
If you like, you can contact us via the app at “Profile > Help & Feedback > Contact Support > Get Support”. You can share the name or link of the podcast you would like a transcript for then we can check if that is doable or not.
