I’ve subscribed and paid for same having understood that this gives access to transcripts, but can’t now find these in any of the podcasts in my library. Which are all displaying with the same options they had before, with the free account
Can someone kindly advise what I’m missing here?

The transcript feature is available for episodes that the podcast author has included a transcript for and for podcasts where the transcript has been automatically generated on Pocket Casts’ servers. Automatically generated transcripts are available exclusively to Pocket Casts Plus and Patron subscribers, only for select podcasts, and only for episodes that are less than 2 hours in length.
If you’d like to see transcripts for episodes of your favorite podcast and they are not currently being automatically generated, we recommend reaching out to the podcast author directly and request that they include them. You can feel free to share the details below about how they can add transcripts to their podcast to ensure they are compatible with Pocket Casts.

I’ve noticed two issues with the transcript functionality:
- The share transcript option doesn’t work when selected.
- When attempting to select all content, only approximately one screen’s worth of text is captured rather than the entire transcript.
Additionally, there’s currently no desktop application option available. Are there any plans to develop a desktop version in the future?
I was excited about the transcription feature and even upgraded to Pro specifically because of it. However, I’m disappointed that it’s not useful for my particular use cases due to these limitations in sharing and accessing the complete transcripts.

Hi – I’ve just realised that despite having paid for pro, my app even when correctly logged in isn’t registering me as member. Email is (email visible only to moderators and staff), and I habe an email confirming my payment. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, and still no joy.

Can you clarify what device you are facing these issues on? The more information shared, the easier it will be for us to log these with our team.

Our team is actively looking into adding transcript functionality to our web and desktop apps.

Key confusion for me is where to find the transcript should it be available..
You should see ‘Transcript’ shown as an option when pressing the 3 dot menu on the player screen:

This option will be greyed out if the podcast author does not have transcripts added, or if the podcast is not eligible for our automated transcripts.
