Two Factor Authentication

It’s not necessarily a problem with the service, but a feedback. Why don’t you folks offer the option of Two factor authentication, even if it’s limited only to paying customers, as a means of keeping the accounts more secure?

  • Hi there, @doors781

That is a good feature and something we’re looking into. I’ve added a +1 to our feature request report for this and hope to have this added in a future update :)

    Hi Automattic team,

We are Pocket Casts premium members and love Pocket Casts (evidenced by annual premium fee paid invoices) 😀

We worry that our Pocket Casts accounts are potentially open by other users, who have been marking certain podcast episodes as played, unplayed, inaccessible.

Is there any way for us to help confirm or deny this suspicion? e.g. a non-repudiation audit trail of all logins, current logins?

Changing Pocket Casts passwords currently does not prompt us to relogin on logged-in sessions.

Is there a way to logout of all logged in Pocket Casts logged-in sessions?

Can we help enable passkeys, requiring an SMS code or email for logging in to Pocket Casts?

  • @shantanu These are all great suggestions!

While we don’t support those features at the moment, I’ve added them to our list of feature requests, so you may see it in a future release. Features are considered by our developers for every release based on the number of requests we receive for that feature. If other Pocket Casts users also request this feature, it increases the chance of it being built. Thanks again for taking the time to write this feedback!
