Unable to pay with Paypal

I’ve been paying for Pocketcasts with my PayPal balance for years – however this month I was told that the payment didn’t go through. I went to try again on the site and it took me to Paypal and told me to add a credit card. I’d love any assistance in getting back to paying with my balance, I don’t have a credit card which is why I use PayPal. Thanks for any help!
