Updates only once a day, at most.

    The past few days I’ve had issues with the pocket cast feed not updating consistently. I go to ‘new releases’, and the latest episodes of all podcasts have not been updated since the day before, and when I try to update manually on my profile page it fails. I have tried reinstalling the app, but the problem remains. Then, all of a sudden it updates on a random time, and all new episodes turn up at once. This happens once a day.

    It is very frustrating. Is there a way to fix it?

  • Pocket Casts checks for updates every 1-3 hours. Is there a specific podcast you are having issues with? If you provide us with the URL, we can check if there are any feed issues preventing updates from showing up on your end.

    No podcast gets updated. I have not had any updates for the past two days now. I have tried logging out and reinstalling the app, but nothing seems to be working.

    Can you please check on the following?

    • Do you perhaps have a firewall, VPN, or ad-blocker active on your device that could interrupt your network connection?
    • Please also check your primary WiFi connection. In particular, please see if it has any sort of ad-blocking or filtering installed on it. One example would be this: https://pi-hole.net/

    It might also be a good idea to try a different WiFi network or temporarily use Mobile Data to see if that works.
