Viewing Transcripts while Listening to Podcast

  While playing a podcast it is difficult to switch between the podcast screen and the transcript screen. While listening and viewing the transcript I want to go back to the podcast screen to see how much time is left or fast forward through an ad.

  If I could shrink the transcript screen to access the podcast controls and then enlarge the screen.

  Hi there, @steveg19! Thanks for your feedback about accessing the episode duration while viewing a transcript. I’ve added your vote to a feature request we have related to showing timestamps and more controls in the transcripts.
  
  There is a new app update available today. If you haven’t done so yet, could you try version 7.93 which includes some improvements for transcripts?

  Hi,

  I was using 7.93 when I made the above comments.

  The transcript seems very accurate. I use Live Caption on my Android phone because my hearing doesn’t catch everything, but your transcripts are more accurate. I have a podcast where transcripts don’t show up, why is that?

  Good question, @steveg19

  Our transcripts feature will either show if:

  1. The podcast is popular on our system (has many Pocket Casts followers) and our system is automatically generating the transcripts
  2. The podcast author is adding transcripts to the episodes

  The best option is to ask the podcast author to add transcripts directly, as that will ensure our app shows the transcript. We might consider expanding our generated transcripts to more podcasts in the future, though.
