Web View vs App View
-
I’m a new user, so forgive this if it is blatantly obvious. I’ve moved from Apple Podcast with iTunes to PocketCast. I listen to podcast on both my PC and my phone, I also have to download them, since I have very little mobile data.
But I’ve been growing more and more frustrated with Apple, specifically iTunes, and decided to look for something better. Pocketcast seem to tick all the boxes, on initial inspection. I added all my podcasts to the app, then spend hours archiving everything I have listened too (even though I imported my podcasts, it did not seem to import what I had listened too). Seriously, this took a very long time. And then I downloaded all the podcasts to my phone. Fantastic.
Then I turned my attention to the web player. Much to my surprise, the podcasts do not match the podcasts on my app. It once again has everything listed ? So I would, again, have to go through everyone and and archive what I have listened to ? This does not seem right, or logical. Surely what is available on the web should look exactly like what is on the app. After all, the promise of pocket cast is that it supports many devices.
Am I missing something ? How do I get the web to not have every episode, but just the ones that are on my phone ? I understand that I can resume an episode on the web player, that seems to work, but the rest ?
